How to Diagnose Plugged Liquid Distributor Outlets Without Opening the Tower

Plugged distributor outlets can be investigated without immediately opening the tower by combining operating history, inlet pressure, strainer differential pressure, temperature profile, tower pressure drop and separation performance. No single measurement proves plugging. The strongest diagnosis comes from several independent indicators collected at comparable operating conditions. This evidence allows the shutdown team to inspect the correct locations, preserve deposit samples and correct the source of blockage instead of merely reopening the affected holes.
