Most buyers specify SS316L tower packing.

Almost none verify the molybdenum (Mo) content.

That is where failures begin.

In corrosive environments, the difference between Mo 1.6% and Mo ≥2.0% is not minor — it is the difference between months and years of service life.

 

What Molybdenum Does in SS316L

Molybdenum is the key alloying element that gives SS316L its corrosion resistance, especially in:
