PVC tower packing and internals should be specified using the appropriate rigid material grade, actual chemical and temperature conditions, recycled-material restrictions, and suitable fabrication materials rather than the word “PVC” alone.

Conductive and antistatic plastic tower packing should be specified using the required electrical property, base polymer, approved additives, chemical compatibility, and test documentation. Color alone is not proof of electrical performance.

Plastic tower packing exposed to sunlight during service or long-term storage may require UV stabilization or controlled storage. Procurement specifications should define the exposure scenario and required material documentation.

If virgin PP is required for tower packing, the purchase specification should define restrictions on recycled resin and regrind, permitted additives, and the required supplier documentation. Finished-product color alone cannot verify resin origin.

PP tower-internals procurement should define the required polymer detail only to the level justified by the service. Where important, resin type, virgin/recycled content, additives, and approved formulation should be controlled separately.
